Some people argue that the President of China is the most powerful man in the world. Xi Jinping is a leader of the growing and powerful China. Due to new facts, China has become a number one country for different reasons, such as the globe’s biggest producer of clean energy, the world’s biggest importer of oil, the planet’s greatest consumer of gold, the earth’s biggest shipbuilder, the planet’s biggest trader with Brazil, the largest consumer of red wine, the largest market for BMW cars, the biggest market for PCs, the largest patent filer, and the list continues. Moreover, China produces 80% of the world’s air conditioners, 50% of the world’s pork, 74% of the world’s solar cells, 70% of the world’s mobile phones, 60% of the world’s cement, 48% of the world’s coal, and 63% of the world’s shoes. Furthermore, China has become the world's biggest trading nation, where USA used to take first place for many years.
Notwithstanding, it is very important to look at some other statistics. “The average Chinese earns $ 9,000 a year and the average American earns $ 50,000. China's current population growth rate is 0.46% and falling with no immigration, compared with 0.9% in the USA and lots of immigration.” Due to GDP in 2013, United States take first place, their number almost twice higher than Chinese. The third place after China is Japan. Germany takes fourth place and France is the fifth place.
In October 2013, Forbes has named the president of Russia as the most powerful man. Due to Forbes, Vladimir Putin has taken the first place from Barack Obama due to several circumstances: the shutdown of the United States’ government, the international conflict over Syria, and the NSA leaks fiasco. However, these facts do not support Vladimir Putin to be the most powerful man in the world. USA continue to be the most powerful country economically and military. Seamus Milne states, “It has bases and forces stationed in a majority of countries of the world – and continues to use them without restraint, from Libya to Pakistan. By contrast, Russia has one military facility outside the former Soviet Union, in Syria."
Nonetheless, we cannot equal the power of the country with the power of the president. Putin has much more power over his country than Obama has over the United States. Thereby, due to this data Putin is more powerful than Obama. However, Putin completely depends on the oil, which is not the long term of power. Besides, Forbes’s list of the most powerful man in 2013 contains 100 people, from which 28 are American and only tree are Russians.
There is also a strong believe that some large financial groups control and dominate the world. Some people call it “conspiracy theories”, New World Order or Illuminati. Others think that the world is controlled by the powerful conglomerates. This oligarchy controls the politicians, the courts, the educational institutions, the food, the natural resources, the foreign policies, the economies and the money of most nations. Moreover, they control the major media, which is why we know nothing about them. The world’s largest companies are now: Bank of America, JP Morgan, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. It is also important to identify the richest families of the world that definitely has a great influence on the world, such as Rockefellers and Rothschilds.

Nonetheless, there are different opinions on who are the most powerful from the three branches. Some people believe that Supreme Court holds the most power; others think that it is the president, and other people believe that Congress is the most powerful.
Due to some beliefs, the major decisions that the Supreme Court is able to make places them as the most powerful. The President hardly can do anything without the approval of Congress, and Congress cannot do anything the Supreme Court does not approve of. The Supreme Court justices are appointed for life, so they do not even have to answer to the American people. Moreover, some presidents have stated, “their greatest legacy is in whom they appoint to the Supreme Court”. Notwithstanding, some people argue, “the executive branch, misusing the privilege of executive orders, has effectively disempowered the other two branches, and has consolidated more and more power over time.” However, the others believe that legislative branch has more power, because they can pass spending bills, approve treaties, and confirm judicial and executive appointments.

Imperial Presidency is a term used to describe the modern presidency of the United States. The Imperial Presidency is out of two concerns; first, that the US Presidency was out of control and second that the Presidency had exceeded the Constitutional limits.
In recent years, many people think that the president has become too strong. They say that the president has taken so much power from the other branches of government that this threatens our democratic system.
The people who wrote the Constitution did not know about many things that are happening right now. They did not know that the USA will become the richest country in the world, that the president will have a control over nuclear bombs, which can destroy cities in seconds. They did not know that the economy will be so complicated, that the technology will play such a significant role, and that the environment will be threatened due to men’s activities.
There are many arguments state that the president of the USA is imperial: the staff numbers has been increases, a range of new advisory bodies improved around the president, the Senate does not advise and consent to appointments to the Executive Office of the president, the power of president exceeds the written Constitution, , the extent of foreign policy and war powers of the Presidency, The Plebiscitary Presidency is a Presidency that is accountable only during elections or impeachment rather than daily to the Congress, the press and the public.
